Pitcairn's reputation isn't what it was in 1994, when another HMS Bounty mutiny buff tipped me off to the Miscellany , then costing US$8 (HK$62) a year. The price has just been raised to US$15, and it's also available via Internet for US$10. But I like getting my Miscellany the old-fashioned way.

Dave Brown, 49, the island's tractor driver, changed his plea to guilty on charges that he twice indecently assaulted girls as he gave them rides on his quad bike and a third indecent assault when he put his hand down a girl's bikini bottom as they swam at an island beach, Radio New Zealand news reported.
