# Job from hell only Pitcairn men can do. Another article about the difficulty of loading and unloading goods at Pitcairn.

# Pitcairn Island Bounty museum in limbo on high seas. This article writes about the difficulties in getting building materials to Pitcairn. The building materials for a museum about the Bounty, and for a couples home, have been arriving at Pitcairn island but unable to be offloaded due to weather. As a result the ship carrying the materials has had to leave and come back another time.

# The Head Heeb writes about the Privy Council being willing to hear the Pitcairn challenge to British rule over the island. He links to an earlier posting about the ramifications if they won such a ruling.

# An article in the Wellington, New Zealand, paper 'The Dominion Post' had a brief mention of Pitcairn. The article was in the 'World of Science' section and was titled 'Mormons and Pitcairn'. The article was primarily about the Mormon religion with the author being very critical of it. At the end of the article was the comment:

For more than a century, every soul on Pitcairn Island attended the Mormon Church. The island was one of the jewels in the chrurch's crown, though, recently, attendance has fallen off. With such bizarre ideas in their heads, it's no wonder that the islanders behave so oddly.
The author would appear to have their facts wrong though. He appears to be confusing the Mormon religion with that of the Seventh Day Adventist faith, which is the faith that Pitcairn Islanders converted to and followed for over a century. Unfortunately this shows how some items published in papers can be poorly researched and completely incorrect. A scan of the article is available here.

# Tiny Pitcairn to take on mighty Britain.

Were the challenge to succeed, the implications would be far-reaching, said Derek O'Brien, an expert Commonwealth and international law at Oxford Brookes University.
"It's like a unilateral declaration of independence," he said. "It's reasonably fair to say that the odds are stacked against them"

# The Bounty, Pitcairn Island, and Fletcher Christian's Descendants. A good article with information on the history of the island and current state of the population.

# Henderson and Pitcairn Information. This site has some interesting information on Henderson Island and Pitcairn, including information on John Pitcairn, the father of Robert Pitcairn who the island is named after.

# Management Plan for Henderson Island (local copy here). Interesting PDF about Henderson Island, one of the islands in the Pitcairn group of islands.
