http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2004/10/26/22339/937 - slightly misleading. New Zealand only got involved at the request of the British Government. Pitcairn is not NZ, and we realise that. But we're physically closer and the UK Government asked us to help provide logistics and the ilk. We were not imposing NZ law on them - merely assisting the UK Government. As for is the UK Government the government of Pitcairn? That's the question.
# Lagoon5 comments on the reaction to their Jones report on Pitcairn. It apparently caused quite a stir. Any comment on incidents involving rape and sexual assault tends to produce quite strong comments from both sides.
