# It looks like the mainstream media has picked up on the new Mayor being elected on Pitcairn Island. It's unfortunate that they've gone for 'sensationalist' titles like 'Rapists sister made mayor' and 'Sex trial island', etc. They've been no reports on how the election occurred or the islanders opinions on the matter though.

PITCAIRN Island has picked the sister of convicted rapist Steve Christian to be its first woman mayor in 214 years.
