# Notes from a small island. An article about the Pitcairn Miscellany.
Four times a year, three issues arrive in an envelope with a drawing of the Bounty and exotic Pitcairn stamps. And so I devour all four pages of the news about the daily comings and goings, travails and triumphs of the island's 47 residents, many of them direct descendants of the original mutineers led by Fletcher Christian, who settled there 214 years ago.
