# I was at the British Consulate in Auckland yesterday for a meeting with Kevin Lynch, the Deputy Governor of Pitcairn Island. While waiting for him I noticed some Pitcairn Island items on display and took a couple of photo's.
The first is a painting by Pitcairn Islander Meralda Warren that was displayed in the main waiting area. The second photo is a display case containing Pitcairn carvings, coins, stamps and other items.
There were more items on display (a carved wheelbarrow for example) in the room where we had the meeting but unfortunately I wasn't able to get a photo.
