Mixing the old tradition with the new, I have taken to weaving hats like Great Aunty bernice who taught my mum the many different plaits. I started and am now hooked at making the Maimiti Haven Hats.Her website, Maimiti Haven Artworld has lots of other interesting crafts, including the wonderful Tapa Cloth that she makes.
